Cocina artesana Cas des Bosc
Cas des Bosc is the mark of a Limited Company (Carlos de las Heras García SLNE) and part of a project supported by the Permaculture Association of the Pitiusas islands and Gupo Leader () in order to encourage local production of the island, particularly organic farming and environment friendly.
An important part of the next project is building a kitchen in San Llorenç, whose operation is run on solar power and biogas, with a large solar oven for drying herbs and vegetables. Actually we are currently located in an assigned locatoin by the Leader group ( ) in the Business Incubator Sa Dona Blanca where we have a modern kitchen that meets all legal requirements for the production of ready meals and particularly for canning.
Fruits and vegetables inside our jars are from the countryside of Ibiza. The organic sugar for jams and marmalades are Fair Trade. The glass jars also come from outside the island, but we are making great efforts to working with customers, dealers, and distributors to reuse our properly sterilized jars and cover new.
The cooking process is done at the lowest possible temperature to maintain the highest qualities and adding the least amount of sugar (brown sugar and biological always) for the cases of jams and preserves. As for chutneys, we also add the least amount of salt necessary.
The sterilizer is made with a convection oven that allows us to use a minimum expenditure of energy and achieve complete sterilization of the jars before and after being packaged.
The packaging is done with warm temperatures (over 65 degrees) and with the highest hygienic measures, without any additives. For this reason, it is recommended to consume it as soon as possible or keep in the fridge for a few days after opening the jar.
The label of each jar includes an expiration date of packaging and also when the product is made with traditional or organic farming practices (the current production of organic farming is not enough to keep our production).
