Tecnología EM - Microorganismos Efectivos

EM means Effective Microorganisms. It consists of a combination of several organisms normally found in food or used in the food production process. The EM is composed of three main types of bacteria - phototrophic bacteria, yeasts, and lactic acid bacteria. When the effective combination of these microorganisms come in contact with organic matter, they secrete beneficial substances such as vitamins, organic acids, minerals, and antioxidants. When applied to land, micro-and macro-flora become flora, improving natural balance so that the previous bacteria that caused problems is transformed into bacteria that help restore the natural health of the earth. This helps to improve plant growth and serves as an excellent tool when used in combination with sustainable organic farming techniques.

Effective Microorganisms were first developed by Professor Teruo Higa of the University Ryuku in Okinawa, Japan after many years of research and study it was completed in 1982. Initially, EM was considered as an alternative to the use of agricultural chemicals, but has since evolved and expanded its use to farming, bio-medicine, and industrial processes to solve environmental problems and promoting natural health in humans. It must be emphasized, however, that EM is not a synthetic chemical or a medicine, but perhaps one of nature's most positive tools that have been discovered. It has been carefully introduced in our biosphere over the last twenty years, and has a history of nothing but positive results for all forms of life on Earth.

Some basic uses of EM technology

EM-A
Using the basic mixture of effective microorganisms (EM1) can produce several different preparations, depending on our intention in his subsequent application. The preparation most used is the EM-A, which means "EM Active", produced by mixing 5% of EM1 with an equal volume of molasses from sugar cane and holding at a constant temperature of about 30 ° C in a sealed container for one or two weeks. Then you have to check the pH of EM-A. If the pH is below 3.5 and the smell is sour then we know that the EM fermentation process is done. The EM-A can be diluted with water and used for a variety of purposes, including the elimination of bad odors on farm animals and blocks, or added to drinking water for animals to keep them in optimal health . In the world of plants, it is used to help activate the germination, flowering, fruiting and maturity, and improve growth.
The EM-A has been used successfully to alleviate odors in waste-water treatment plants and sewage, where it also helps to reduce sludge volume and increase the activity of sedimentation to accelerate decomposition of organic material.

EM-Bokashi
The EM Bokashi is made by mixing with organic matter-A fresh and good quality rice bran or wheat, or fish meal, according to local availability. This mixture is allowed to ferment in a sealed container for two weeks.
The product can be used for the following purposes:
* Speed up the fermentation and anaerobic decomposition of organic waste materials for composting
* Add to animal feed to improve their overall health and natural immunity

EM-COMPOST
Animal waste, organic waste from the kitchen, yard trimmings, and leaves from the garden, etc.., When mixed with EM-A and covered to allow the anaerobic decomposition will result in the production of a rich, fertile compost in as little as 30-40 days, instead of the usual 4-6 months.

EM-5
This is a mixture of EM1, molasses, vinegar, brandy and water that is fermented in a sealed container for more than 30 days until no more gas issue fermentation (CO2). You can also add herbs with natural properties as garlic, red pepper, etc.. During the fermentation process. The EM-5 could be applied to all plants as a preventative pest-destroying insects, and strengthen the natural immune system against disease.

EM-X
This is a special version of MS liquid that has been certified for human consumption. A daily dose over a long period of time reduces free radicals in the body significantly improving the immune system, reducing the possibility of occurrence of cancer cells in the body.

The use of EM in our lives and the environment

We can use EM in our daily lives in many ways:
* Pour the toilet to eliminate odors
* Cleaning our kitchen and bathrooms with EM
* By composting organic waste from our kitchens
* Using it to wash clothes
* Improving the quality of our drinking water
* Improving the health of our animals
* Keeping your garden healthy and natural conditions
